Explore the diverse ways to prepare herbal medicine, in this experiential class. We'll be making medicine together and discovering how to extract in water, alcohol, vinegar, oil, glycerin, and honey. There is much to know about getting the most from our plant medicines and the optimal way to deliver their benefits to support the body. Learn how to make these medicines and how best to apply them, as we learn ways to build the home apothecary.

Session 3: Topical Preparations: Poultices, Compresses, Washes and Baths, Oils, Balms, and Creams.
Applying herbal preparations directly to the skin is an effective way to receive the benefits of the plants exactly where it’s needed. In this class we’ll cover herbs for first aid, and general skincare, and how to use them in a variety of preparations. We’ll make 2 topical preparations for your at home use and you’ll have plenty of recipes to inspire you.
